Fiesta de la Tapa (Tapas Route). Pizarra. October. Unique Festival

This festival has been declared to be of Tourist Interest by the Provincial Council of Málaga.
Please check with the local Town Hall or Municipal Tourism Office for the festival date before planning any sightseeing activities.

The Guadalhorce River crosses the municipality of Pizarra from north to south. This territory does not display a complex mountain landscape, but rather an extensive meadow with abundant citrus trees. Fruit plantations and vegetable gardens are also prevalent.

Orchard produce, among others, become the stars of the festival, which aims to promote the tapas culture of this village in the Guadalhorce valley by introducing all visitors to the main bars and slate restaurants. Collaborating establishments participate with a special tapa that people can enjoy with a drink for only 1.5 euros.

Those attending the event will be able to get a route plan for the tour through every bar and restaurant in the municipality. The route plan is to be filled with bar stamps for each visited establishment.

Visitors will thus be able to qualify for various prizes once they have obtained the appropriate stamps (at least eight of them). All they need to do is complete the route plan with their personal details and specify their favourite tapa, as well as the most innovative one and the establishment providing the best service. Anyone can participate in the ruffle, and there is no age limit.

Likewise, all bars and restaurants participating in the Tapas Route in Pizarra may be awarded by popular vote.
