Urban routes of Serranía de Ronda. Summary (in Spanish and in English).

The Serranía de Ronda presents an amazing historical legacy as well as a precious natural heritage.
It possesses rich and varied ecosystems and astonishing geological formations. Within the region, there are many protected nature reserves, among which we can highlight the three following Parks: Los Alcornocales, the last Mediterranean rainforest; La Sierra de las Nieves, Spanish fir home, this is a very singular species of fir; and La Sierra de Grazalema, with a striking landscape originated by the exceptional rainfall regime, it receives more rain than any other region of the country.

From time out of mind, architecture has been the prime example of human creativity and intelligence. Men and women from the Serranía have built all kind of infrastructures to take shelter (caves, houses, palaces…), to defend themselves (castles, walls…), to produce food (farms, mills…), to dominate the water (irrigation channels, wells, aqueducts…), to spend their leisure time (baths, theatres…), or to profess their beliefs and religions (mosques, churches, images, altarpieces…).

The Urban Routes Sheets have been a work of the Ceder of Serrania de Ronda cofinanced by the Development Plan to Promote Tourist in the Serrania de Ronda.
All Urban Routes Sheets, performed for each municipality in the Serrania de Ronda, are composed of two sides:
- Side A: common to all, with general information and a general map of the Serrania de Ronda.
- Side B: customized for each municipality, with a brief overview of its history, a street map, points of interest, photographs and surrounding environment.

The municipalities are: Algatocín, Alpandeire, Atajate, flowerbed, Benadalid, Benalauría, Benaoján, Benarrabá, Cartajima, Cortes de la Frontera, Faraj, Gaucin, Genalguacil, Igualeja, Jimera de la Frontera, Jubrique, Júzcar,
