The Chullera Minarets.

Diputación de Málaga

The Chullera Minarets.

Chullera is home to two minarets, one of the conical variety and another older example with a cruciform base, the latter being the original tower built in Nazarí times. By 1497, it was referred to as Torre de la Chullera in the coastal protection orders issued by the Catholic Monarchs to the towns, villages and other places within the Bishopric of Malaga.
