Among its singular pieces there are two remarkable finds attributed to the Late Bronze Age that are especially prevalent in western Andalucía and Extremadura—where the Tartessos territory is based. These finds consist of a warrior stela dating from around the 9th century BCE and a carp's tongue sword, dating from the 10th and 9th centuries BCE, which local elites used as an object of distinction.

Located in an old water deposit in Almargen, the Tartessos en Guadalteba museum allows visitors to get familiar with the transition period between prehistory and history, meaning the Tartessian time, which is represented in Almargen through certain items that are essential for the Andalusian archaeology. The centre also presents the famous graven image that synthesised the masculine and feminine back in the 3rd millennium BCE. This marble idol was thought to have fertilisation properties. Archaeological exhibits allow visitors to understand the process that made the end of prehistory in the region of Guadalhorce.
