Montejaque washing place was opened on March 8th 2009. This is when it was transformed into an interpretation centre that exhibits the history of this old building with an important role in the municipality.

The town washing place was restored as a tribute to those house wives who used to kneel down at the sink, which was as well renovated, to do the laundry when there was a lack of water in houses
