Fountain of the Fishes
The source is located on the Camino de Arroyo Blanco, on the outskirts of the urban area, a few hundred meters from the municipality of Cartajima. It is a fountain of Moorish origin, judging by its morphology, which despite the passing of the years must have been very beautiful as it still retains the peculiar charm of what was done at that time.
On the left side is the drinking trough, which has a front wall (lower than that of the main fountain), which should have finished off with some kind of ornament in its corner, being protected by a buttress. The high-rise main fountain has three typical elements of Arab architecture, in the form of battlements. You can see the traces of the holes of how the jugs that the population used to collect water were placed.
