The Paradise Bridge

Zip Code 29230
Monuments and Art > Monumental Bridge

The Paradise Bridge is named because of the narrow pass on which it is built. A bridge of a single light with a rounded archway, all its work is made of bricks, except the quarter-sphere located at the angle of the riverbed (made of limestone), probably of the nearby El Torcal of Antequera. Next to the Bridge Horcajo and Garrayo or "Seven Eyes", the Paradise Bridge is part of the royal path linking Madrid and Malaga in the eighteenth century. Its panoramic views of the Cerro del Viento and the course of the Campanillas River, next to the architectural purity of the cortijos (country houses) flanking its access, makes this bridge a must visit.
