Blas Infante Pêrez, the author of “Ideal Andaluz”, a pragmatic book outlining his plans for Andalusia, was born in Casares on the 15th of July 1885.

A public notary and a politician, it is officially considered as the Father of Andalusia by the House of Representatives and the Parliament of Andalusia. Blas Infante is the maximum political ideologue of the andalucism in all its aspects (regionalist, federalist and nationalist). Infante alternated its tasks of notary, historian, anthropologist, musicologist, writer and journalist, and is a voracious reader and a great speaker.
