The Iglesia de Santiago El Mayor is situated right in the middle of the old and more modern parts of the village of Montejaque. It dates back to the 16th century and is built true to late Gothic architectural style. However, today the style of the reconstruction of 1773 prevails over the original. It has three irregular sized naves, and the central one has a hemispherical vault with window slots.

The chapel that is in the Gospel nave, with its hemispherical vault and support lovely squares, which displays an interesting series of pictures for decoration dating from the 18th century.
