Church of Our Lady of la Oliva
There was an earlier parish church on this site in 1580 which was dedicated to the worship of San Cayetano. The present day Iglesia de Ntra. Señora de la Oliva was founded in 1687.
According to Madoz’s dictionary there is a reference that states; "there is also a chapel situated in the Barrio Alto which pays tribute to Santa Bárbara”.
The only elements that were not destroyed during the tragic events of 1936 when the church was dismantled and used as a glass warehouse are the main entrance door and the exceptionally narrow pilasters crowned with triangular pinnacles.
