Muzmullar water cistern

Of Arabic origin and possibly from the 14th century, it was declared as a National Histórical & Artistic Monument in 1931. It is located in a uninhabited town named, la Meseta de Mazmúllar, which is about an hour’s walk. This huge cistern is rectangular and is divided up into nine compartments by four cruciform basins and horseshoe cones which prop up a ribbed vault. It is 7.7 metres long by 5.75 metres wide.
