Hermitage of the Veracruz

The Cristo de la Veracruz Chapel is a small building constructed in the 16th century. It has a somewhat irregular floor layout and has suffered quite important transformations over time which have altered the original image. It was built to commemorate a victory over the rebelling Moors.
Its construction was financed by the sale of twelve Moors. The facade is divided into three sections. In the first, the cover is off center in the front. In the second section, protruding lines leads to the pinnacles of the third body. The latter also has a belfry with a single bay to house the bell which is dated to the eighteenth century.
Inside, the image of Our Lady of Mercy and St. Veracruz is venerated.
