Beaches

Valle Niza beach is located beside Benajarafe, a seaside town in the eastern part of Málaga province. It belongs to the municipality of Vélez Málaga, right in the centre of the region of Axarquía. The beach has dark-coloured sand and along with Benajarafe beach, it forms a large band, measuring 2,400 metres in length, but fairly narrow, with a width of 25 metres of warm sand.

The beach has moderate waves, and is typically not very busy, as the beach can only be reached by car.

Although the beach has fairly limited services, parasols and hammocks are available for hire. The low numbers of people and the temperature make it an ideal beach for those who want to enjoy a quiet day on the coast of Vélez Málaga.

Behind the beach, we can make out the Sierra de Almijara, home to Málaga’s highest peak, La Maroma, which measures 2,609 metres high.
