Bridge of las Angosturas del río Guadalmina, Benahavís (Unique Site)

Recommended month to visit it: December.

Impressive gorges, spectacular pools and crystal waters are some of the attractions that encourage us to traverse the Guadalmina river through its well known Angosturas, a place that one would perhaps associate more with exotic latitudes but that, nevertheless, we have here in Benahavís.

While leaving this town our first intention may be to head to the Charco de las Mozas [Pool of the Lasses], very popular among swimmers; but in our case we will continue some metres further on towards an arch bridge of laminated wood through which we will cross to the hillside opposite the road. The great canal of Guadalmedina is on this side. It has is more than a century old and is part of the rich hydraulic heritage of Andalusia.

This bridge connects a recently built path with the Overlook of the Three Pergolas.
