The Peñoncillo beach, in Torrox, is attached to Mazagarrobo beach has a long sandy area of about 1,400 meters in length and 30 meters in width that although increasingly arouses the interest of more visitors, remains an enclave away from apartment buildings and heavily populated places. The waves are moderate, so it is highly recommended to take a bath and is also very close to the N-340 road, making it easy to access.
If you are a hunter of bays or looking always for small hidden corners where you can spend a day of different beach and away from large urban enclaves, the Costa del Sol offers options for sun and beach for both the adventurous and those who need the closeness of cities or towns or prefer a more family tourism.
If you are among those who prefer to explore less crowded space, or want some isolated relaxation after days of playing golf, you'll love Torrox region.
Both the beach of Peñoncillo as well as Mazagarrobo do not usually have an excessive people coming in and have limited services. Fortunately, the proximity of towns like Torrox assures us that any need for services, catering or leisure that may arise will be easily resolved.

HOW TO GET THERE
The capital of the Costa del Sol, Malaga and its airport are easily communicated both by car and by bus or train. To reach the Peñoncillo beach, it is precise to access the Torrox region from the Mediterranean motorway (A-7, N-340) and take the deviation towards Torrox on the stretch between Vélez-Málaga and Nerja.
From Torrox, one has to follow the route of El Morche and from there, take the highway of Peñoncillo. In hardly 20 minutes, we will reach taking the highways MA-102, A-7202 and N-340.
