Beaches

Calahonda Beach is located in the Malaga town of Mijas, between the Port of Cabopino and the beach of El Bombo.

In front of the urbanization with which it shares its name, on the beach of Calahonda we can see different areas: from the most urbanized with housing and nearby establishments, until the most pristine with abundant vegetation.

This beach, of 4,400 meters long and with 20 meters average width, is known for its golden sand of medium grain and moderate waves. One can go diving and fishing there.

Close and quiet, Calahonda Beach is characterized by its outgoing and incoming, small and irregular, facing south.

The Blue Flag award in the year 2021 makes it a beach of unquestionable quality. This award meets several criteria: environmental education and information, water quality, environmental management, safety and services.
