Beaches

Rio Verde Beach is located on the western coast of Marbella, just before reaching Puerto Banus. In fact, we can say that, next to the small beach of Puerto Banus directly bordering with the rear spring of marina.

Because of its location, it is one of the most popular beaches of Marbella. Of course, it provides all services needed for visitors’ enjoyment. It stretches about 1,500 meters of coastline and has about 40 meters wide.

It is located in one of the most luxurious resorts in Europe, Puerto Banús, an old fishing port that has become one of the largest and most exclusive areas featuring the best restaurants and the largest concentration of luxury cars.

In the vicinity, we can find the remains of a Hispanic Roman villa of the 1st century, known as the Villa Romana de Rio Verde. This important archaeological site is located near the mouth of the Verde River and is one of the most valuable examples of Roman domestic construction in the Andalusian coast. You will also be lured in this Roman villa by the precious rooms in its private landholdings, among which include a polychrome mosaic of a Gorgoneion an amulet in old times) surrounded by painstaking geometric motifs.
