Beaches

Playa de La Misericordia, in Malaga, is found at exactly the Carretera de Cádiz in Malaga, located between playa de Guadalhorce and playa de Huelin. This beach has been awarded the Blue Flag 2021.

With its dark sand, it spans 1,200 metres in length and 30 metres in width, and usually has a moderate swell tide. Curiously at this beach known phenomenon among Malaga locals is recognised as “La Ola del Melillero” (“the Melillero Wave”). The approach and braking from the ferry from Melilla to its arrival at the Puerto de Malaga causes a brief and sudden sea level rise, so you must be careful with your towel and personal items if you are near the shore.

This beach stands out for the old industrial chimney that dominates the coast, today isolated and restored.

When the summer season begins we can enjoy rental services for hammocks and parasols and water sports equipment on it.
