Beaches

Cable Beach is located at the entrance of the Malaga municipality of Marbella, in the area between the harbour and the mouth of Rio Real (Real river).

It is one of the favourite beaches of the locals, which during the summer organizes many activities such as beach volleyball tournaments, sand castle contests, etc. It is not an overly large beach; it is 400 meters long and 40 meters wide.

Cable Beach owes its name to the cable that crossed in ancient times to transport minerals to freighters. This is one of the few vestiges that remind us of the mining and steel history of Marbella. This beach has been awarded the Blue Flag 2021.

And from this industrial past to this present paradise: the Cable Beach lights the Blue Flag awarded by the Foundation for Environmental Education. The significance of this award is a guarantee of quality for all people who enjoy this beach and usually for those who visit there. Which certifies the good state of the beach and its waters, extended by the certification also received for Q for tourist quality.
