Bil-Bil Beach is right in the heart of Benalmádena, next to Arroyo de la Miel - Los Melilleros beach. If you decide to spend the day here, we recommend you come prepared and stay to watch the lighting up of the famous castle, which gives it a magic touch.

Bil-Bil beach is known thanks to one of the most emblematic villas on the coast, known as Bil Bil Castle, built above the middle section of the beach. The castle belongs to the local authorities and several cultural events are held there, making the beach a popular place to visit.

The castle, built in Moorish style, coloured brick red and decorated with tiles, was designed by the architect Enrique Atencia. It is well-known for its night lighting, which, combined with its gardens and palm groves gives it a singular charm.

400 metres long and 20 metres wide, the beach has a moderate swell. The sand is dark-coloured.

Near to Bil-Bil beach, just 3 kilometres away, is Benalmádena Marina. There is also a tourist office in the vicinity.

HOW TO GET THERE

Access to Bil-Bil Beach is easy. From Benalmádena by car, take Avenida Mare Nostrum. The journey takes less than 10 minutes. Alternatively go along Tivoli Avenue and continue along Las Palmeras Avenue. This route takes the same time as the above alternative.

If you would rather walk, it takes approximately 30-35 minutes.

From Malaga city centre it is best to take the MA-20 and then the AP-7 towards Arrabal Santangelo, leaving at junction 222. The journey is estimated to take between 30 and 35 minutes.
