Beaches

Las Gaviotas, next to the Rey de España Promenade in Fuengirola makes a stunning picture thanks to its long, vast stretch of dark coloured sand. In fact, it is really two beaches, and it is picturesque thanks to the many piers to be found in the area, creating a series of small arches all along the shore.

The beach is 1200 metres long and 40 metres wide and, given its proximity to the urbanised area and the variety of culture, gastronomic, sports and leisure activities available in the area (and all along the Costa del Sol), it tends to be fairly busy.

It is an urban beach with a promenade which has also been awarded the Blue Flag 2021. The sea is usually calm, and it is therefore an area that is highly suited to families.

Las Gaviotas Beach in Fuengirola has all the services you can imagine, thanks to its proximity to the town.

HOW TO GET THERE

Easily reached by car or on foot from Fuengirola (the beach is right on the promenade) or by bus from the town centre. Connections with the rest of the Costa del Sol are good thanks to the Mediterranean highway (A-7; N-340) and the local train network, C-2. Access from the airport, Malaga, Torremolinos and Benalmádena are equally simple.
