This farm house was restored on several occasions after it had been purchased by the Town Council of Pizarra in 1985. The contract for its management was awarded to private companies for 10 years.

The hotel is placed on the Pizarra-Málaga (A-7054) road, 2 kilometres away from the town centre of Pizarra, in the direction of Cártama Station. It has an exceptional position in the Guadalhorce Valley next to the river which the valley is named after, at the bottom of the Gibralmora Mountains, and it is surrounded by citrus fruit orchards. This area has a great ecological importance due to the diversity of trees and water birds, which is why the route‘Contrastes y Azahar’ [Contrasts and Orange Blossom], approved by the Andalusian Government, goes through it (PRA-118).
