This festival has been declared to be of Tourist Interest by the Provincial Council of Málaga.

Romantic Ronda starts in 2013 as a project intended to promote over 40 municipalities comprising the natural area of the Serranía de Ronda.

The festival setting is the city of Ronda itself and its rich artistic and historical heritage. Here, visitors can learn traditions and customs related to a specific historical era that had shaped the region's identity.
Any association or group is free to participate in the festival. This will add to the many activities that take place during the festivities and the previous days: parades, traditional markets, historical recreations, equestrian events, accessories and sewing workshops, mule tours, street decoration, among others.
