Iglesia del Santo Cristo de la Cabrilla, Alfarnatejo

Church of Santo Cristo de Cabrilla

The church, which dates back to the 18th century but was rebuilt in 1977, is known as Santo Cristo de la Cabrilla and is located in the upper district of the village, standing head and shoulders above the houses and buildings in the centre of Alfarnatejo.

Its simple ground plan consists of the traditional rectangular model with two naves separated by half-point arches. Outside, the highlight of the church is its solid, quadrangular tower, built in Mudejar style from earthenware bricks .
