Climbing routes in Cuevas de San Marcos
The center of Cuevas de San Marcos is protected in the South by the limestone wall called Falla de la Sierra del Camorro. The unique morphology elevation is caused by the plate tectonics from the alpeny orogeny, it makes the residents gain character and it’s a reference element of its scenery. This with its natural particular characteristics, took it to be named after a natural monument statement by La Junta de Andalucía.
The climbing in Camorro is based in the walls that are made of scarp as a fault from the mountain chain. To get to it we can take the track that drives us to the football pitch, and finally get to terrace where we can leave the car. From this point you can take different trails which take you to Belda´s cave and the medina of Belda. Around these settlements the climbing tracks are based.
