This viewpoint is placed in the beauty spot of La Ermita (the Country Chapel) Pass, on the way that stretches from the Village of Pizarra to Our Lady of the Remedies of Fuensanta Country Chapel.

From the top, you can contemplate a splendid view over the Guadalhorce fertile plains, which also takes in the mountains around  Málaga's plain, 'La Hoya de Málaga'. On one side of the viewpoint, a hundred-year-old carob tree, Algarrobo de la Ermita,  raises its leafy top. There is an old saying that was inspired by this old tree: 'You are older than the carob tree at La Ermita'.
