El Padrón
El Padron beach, just 2 kilometres from Estepona, is a favourite destination, together with La Rada beach, among visitors to the town.
El Padron beach is in an area with natural vegetation next to the mouth of the river Padron. Covered in dark sand, fishing enthusiasts will recognise the area as octopuses, a staple ingredient in the region, are found in abundance on these coasts. Thanks to its features and the services offered, the beach has repeatedly been awarded the Blue Flag, an important distinction for the beaches and guarantee of quality. 30 metres wide, it is a busy beach.
A shopping centre, containing restaurants and a variety of shops, has recently been built close to the beach.
