La Morera Beach lies in the district of Benalmádena, between Torremuelle and Tajo de la Soga beaches.
On the Costa del Sol, approximately 22 kilometres southeast of Malaga, Benalmádena has almost 20 kilometres of sandy shores and palm groves making up a total of 17 beaches. All the beaches are accessible from a promenade which crosses from one end of the district to the other and which is home to a number of different tourist establishments.
Also known as La Perla Beach, la Morera beach is 700 metres long and some 15 metres wide. Easily accessible, it is one of the busiest beaches in high season. However, the low level of construction in the surrounding area makes the beach popular for tourists in search of tranquillity.
The narrow beach surrounded by large rocks has an air of naturalness and intimacy making it popular among those seeking to escape the crowds.
The swell is moderate and the beach is covered in dark sand.
