Beaches

Playa de Guadalmina is located between the towns of San Pedro Alcántara (within the municipality of Marbella) and Estepona. In fact, it is the last of Marbella’s beaches towards the west.

Playa de Guadalmina is an option that is highly recommended for the family, being spacious, with perfect equipment and complete facilities. Its area is 1,500 metres long by 25 metres wide and has disabled access.

Since 1992 the Blue Flag has waved on this beach thanks to the perfect state of its waters and its virtues in general. Awarded by the European Foundation for Environmental Education, this prize is obtained according to four areas: quality of water for bathing, environmental education and information, environmental management and safety, services and facilities.

Standing out in the surrounding environment are the third century A.D. Roman ruins popularly known as Las Bóvedas. Next to the baths we can see a XVI century defensive watchtower. Both historical remnants have been declared Sites of Cultural Interest.
