Playa El Peñón del Cuervo, located in the city of Malaga, capital of the Costa del Sol, takes its name from the rock formation that, as an isthmus, divides the beach into two areas.
The Peñón del Cuervo is a protected biological enclave, since the discovery of the Malaga houseleek (Limonium malacitanum), an endangered plant species.
It is located between Candado Marina and the Fábrica de Cemento.
Concerts and traditional parties called moragas are commonly held on this beach, and it enjoys a barbecue area which has tables and benches. Nearby La Araña also houses a recreational area for sun and beach. It also has a children's area with games for younger visitors to enjoy.
