Outside the urban centre there is a region of enormous natural beauty and of great environmental value awaiting visitors who can get to know it intimately by using the paths and routes that have been set up especially.. The "Los Reales de Sierra Bermeja", is a particularly beautiful place where the special “pinsapos” (Spanish fir)and a wide range of wildlife like the Hispanic goats and an assortment of RAPECES can be seen. Another interesting spot is called "Los Morterestes", which is situated right in the middle of a Spanish fir forest and on a site where the first settlers used to crush the minerals that they extracted from the gold mines nearby.
