Parajes de Benalauría
The land belonging to the municipality of Benalaurîa spreads out from the Genal valley to the Guadiaro. White is the most noticeable colour that the landscape offers from the limestone backdrop that stands out against the strong green of the forests full of chestnut, pine and walnut trees that surround the village, mixed in with olive trees.
El Genal River, which marks the municipal boundary, meanders its way along through the landscape and the rich riverbank vegetation gives this area a unique beauty all to itself. Beyond the Loma de la Sierra, in the valle del Guadiaro, the landscape becomes much more gentle and is dominated by cereal crops and pastures, mixed with oak forests that spread out towards the South of the municipality on the north side of the Cerro del Panderón, revealing spectacular views of the river and the railway track are protagonists as they both wind their way along the valley.
