Cave of the Murciélagos
Caves
The cave known as Cueva de los Murciêlagos is home to a number of stratae dating from the Neolithic period to the Bronze Age. The cave, which owes its name to the fact that has traditionally been home to large numbers of bats, was also a source of a natural fertiliser known as murcielagina which was widely used in the surrounding plains. The cave can only be entered in the company of someone familiar with its terrain.
