Capuchino"s Monastery of Saint Sebastian, Ardales

The former convent of San Sebastian is located in one corner of the Plaza of Ardales. This building housed a religious community of great influence during the seventeenth and eighteenth century. In late 2009 opened again its doors as it was closed after being found in ruins. The original building from the 18th century contains a well-preserved Baroque church with exterior belfry and several amenities that belong to the Franciscan monks. The new units have a parish office, two separate rooms, a media room, and a room suitable for meetings catechesis coexistence. Currently plays the dual role of being used for social activities and for worship (the Bishop of Málaga, Jesus Catala, held at the inaugural liturgical act in which consecrated the new altar in November 2009).
