The Tolox Spa, Tolox

The Tolox Spa, created in 1867, is the only one in Spain specializing exclusively in respiratory, as the waters off gas which is taken by inhalation. Politicians, artists and bullfighters have been regular visitors since its construction. It benefits also from being in a privileged place in the Sierra de las Nieves, near the “Pinsapar” (the Spanish Fir). The surrounding mountains are a magnificent amphitheater, facing east, which protects the spa from the wind and provides a healthy microclimate. The highest peak of the province, La Torrecilla (1919 meters), is located a few miles from Tolox dominating all the Sierra de las Nieves mountains. The Spa Resort is located 360 metres high, after descending through rugged slopes.
