Diputación de Málaga (Provincial Government of Malaga) has set up a new service aimed at providing information and advice to foreigners who are visiting our province or who are residents in any of our towns.
The Information Office for Foreigners will help to resolve numerous administrative procedures, as well as inform on all of the resources available from Diputación de Málaga and to advise anyone who is interested in investing in our province or in choosing it as their home base.
Currently foreign residents are 15% of the total population in the province of Malaga, therefore the purpose of this Office is to assist foreigners in their contacts with Public Administrations and in processing all of the formalities they require for their daily activities.
On the other hand, activities and initiatives will be also organized with a view to further integrating foreigners in our province, helping them to participate in the cultural, sports, leisure and festive events that are held, especially those organized or promoted by Diputación de Málaga. It is an institution whose main aim is to promote and develop the interests of the province, paying special attention to towns with less than 20,000 inhabitants.
- Information and assistance regarding the activities developed by Diputación de Málaga
General information will be provided on the province and on activities carried out by the various services of this provincial institution, such as grants and subsidies, initiatives for employment and business consultancy, town planning issues, use of facilities and resources of the Diputacion, formalisation of procedures and follow-up on consultations or claims, etc.
- Consultancy on business and investment opportunities in Malaga province
Initiatives and business projects by foreigners interested in setting up a business in the province can be processed and referred to the Oficina Provincial de Inversiones (Provincial Office for Investments) for further consulting.
- Information and support for formalities and procedures with the various public administrations
Given that in many cases foreign residents are not familiar with the different competences of the various public offices, we provide support when formalising and presenting paperwork regarding matters with other public administrations, thus providing answers to everyday questions.
- Publication of informative and educational material
Guides and brochures will be published with the aim to inform on the rules governing our autonomous community and our nation, on the matters of most interest to the foreign community, both for citizens from the European Union and from other countries.
- Organisation of activities and events
Activities promoting foreign residents participation to facilitate their integration and to show them our culture and traditions will be encouraged and promoted.
