Villanueva del Trabuco is located on the lower slopes of Sierra de San Jorge, Gorda and Gibalto, inside The Penibêtico Mountain Range.

Visitors can find beautiful places and steep streets with typical white houses, mainly in Los Villares quarter, the oldest part of this village.

The important Guadalhorce River flows through the village and invites people to visit the beautiful gardens on its banks. Also, there are viewpoints high above the village where the visitor can look at the mountains and green forests across the valley.
