Moorish Mill of los Corchos

Diputación de Málaga

Moorish Mill of los Corchos

Its construction dates back to the 15th or 16th century and it is one of the few examples of well-preserved traditional water-powered mill within the province.

It was used to grind wheat and other cereals, although it owes its name to the cork- making activity that was used as a protective packing material in the exportation of grapes between 1905 and 1941.
