This is a magnificent vantage point that overlooks the Valle del Guadalhorce, which is the result of Christian urban development conception from the Renaissance period applied to a Medieval Arab city.

This square is known locally as "Los Poyos", as in the 19th century it was a small place, then known as Poyos de la Cárcel (stone benches of the jail).
