Cortes de la Frontera Bullring

Diputación de Málaga
Plaza de toros (3). Cortes de la Frontera

Cortes de la Frontera Bullring

Originally built in1894, its restoration in 1921 made it one of the largest Bullrings in the whole of the mountain region. Its very existence seems remarkable in such a small village, though this is easily explained: Cortes de la Frontera was a cattle-rearing centre and had been the venue of many bullfighting festivals since the remotest of times.

The arena is 27.20 metres in diameter, while a hollow beneath the section of seating that faces the sun houses the medical wing and toilets.
