Church of San Antonio

The Iglesia de San Antonio, built in 1676 on the site of a former hermitage by the Manrique de Lara family, who had owned the village since May 1640. Inside, three naves are separated by Roman arches. The brick main faèade features the coat of arms of Bishop Alonso de Santo Tomás.

Three hermitages once stood in Frigiliana: Santo Cristo, Nuestra Señora de la Escalera and San Sebastián. All were of modest design and enjoyed great popular devotion. However, all three were burnt down in 1936.
