The church of  San Marcos is a XVII-century building that was later renovated and rebuilt in 1798 by Juan de Reina in the late baroque and neoclassical styles that typified this period.

The high main faèade features a Roman arch doorway flanked by pilasters supporting a curved pediment crowned by a stained glass window with a blind ox eye window on either side. The XVIII-century brick tower consists of three sections topped by a pyramidal spire with glass tiling.

The interior is divided into three naves covered by a half-barrel vault which is semi-spherical in the crossing. The highlight of the exterior is the majestic main faèade. A large bell tower stands on the Epistle side, comprising three sections, the first consisting of masonry and unfaced brick. The third, also built from brick, is crowned by a pointed roof with a ceramic glass covering.

The highlights of the church are the Capilla del Sagrario and the image of Nuestro Padre Jesús Nazareno, the work of the sculptor Josê Martîn Simón.
