Church of St. Catalina
Built on the site of an ancient mosque, this Mudejar-style church was built in the 16th century. In 1926 a fire devastated the building and it had to undergo a complete and extremely expensive rebuilding process. As well as this reconstruction, the church also had to suffer some important remodelling work between 1940 and 1944. The most outstanding feature is the two-tiered square minaret. It was originally built as a three-tiered tower but in 1927 it suffered another fire and had to be reformed. The second tier has a series of semi-circular arches incorporated.
