Zapata Arches’ Aqueduct (Hydraulic heritage)

Well preserved remains of what was the “Fuente del Rey” aqueduct which dates back to the 18th century and which was built to carry water from a spring of the same name located in Churriana to the capital city of Malaga. It was never actually used because of the pressure put on government not to do so by the landowners settled in the plain along with numerous economic problems.
