Museum of Glass and Crystal

This facility is the only museum dedicated to these materials in Andalusia, according to the information of a promotional brochure carefully edited by the direction of the Museum. The building is housed in a restored eighteenth century mansion located opposite the church of San Felipe Neri, which was owned by the Cassini family. As Mr. Fernandez Prieto, owner and creator of this museum space says, the visitor can take a tour of the history of mankind through the glass.
The museum has a collection that the owner has brought together during many years (more than 3,000 pieces of glass from different centuries), accompanied by a large representation of paintings, furniture, decorative items and decorations. These pieces correspond faithfully to the historical period they represent, creating an environment that immerses the visitor in the real domestic context in which their first owners of the house lived.
The museum wants to be a living entity that serves not only as an incentive to rehabilitate the old artisan district of San Felipe Neri, but a core reference and study for those modern architects who are interested in learning the techniques of the past, many of they lost, unknown or forgotten.
The visitor will be surprised by a very nice visit through guided tours.
