The Oil Museum of Mondrón
The olive oil museum is situated some six kilometres from Periana in the village of Mondron. It was started as an initiative of the Cooperativa Olivarera de San Josê Artesano, who wanted to try to preserve the tradition way of making olive oil which the village is famous for. Inside the museum, visitors can see examples of mill stones from the past and a lot of utensils that were used in the elaboration of the olive oil.
There is no entrance fee at all, but the bottles of olive oil from the locality are on sale for all those who wish to take some away.
