Church of Saint Paul
Erected in the mid XVII century and rebuilt at the end of the XIX, before being built again from scratch years later following a fire.
The Church of St. Paul is a Catholic Christian church located in the neighborhood of the Trinity.
It is a work of architect Jerónimo Cuervo, built between 1874 and 1891
It is the Canonical See of the Hermandad de la Salud, la Cofradîa de Jesús Cautivo (popularly known as the Lord of Malaga, due to the great devotion of all the locals and especially the neighbors of the Trinity) and the Hermandad del Santo Traslado and the Soledad de San Pablo l, who participate in the processions at Easter.
This temple was erected in the seventeenth century as a shrine to assist the Parish of the Sainted Martyrs and it was declared a parish in 1833.
In 1873 the building was demolished to build the current one, which opened on May 24, 1891.
In the years 2004-2006, was carried out restoration work on the inside and outside the temple, replacing most of the pinnacles. It is of Gothic style and its main facade consists of a cover ornamented Gothic, flanked by columns on each side.
The interior has three naves with pillars covered fasciculate and ribbed. And its tower, 50 meters high, ends in a square pyramid, with pinnacles formed ceramic ornaments with floral decoration.
