Church of Encarnación

On the ruins of the castle, built in the 13th century, stands the original 16th century church of La Encarnación, erected in accordance with a papal bull issued by Julius 2nd. It features three naves with Roman arches and their corresponding vaults, which have since collapsed and are now being restored..
This is a church of conventual origin (Capuchin Franciscan) placed at the Llano de la Fuente, hence its popular name as the Llano Church. It has the usual cross plan.

Its bell tower, undeniably Mudêjar in origin, the backyard, which belonged to the former convent, and a small garden surrounded by fountains are originally from the sixteenth century.
Recently, some rehabilitation works have been carried out mainly for consolidating structures, especially in the covers, and stays around the sacristy and belfry.
