Waterfall of la Rejía, Tolox (Unique Site)
Recommended month to visit it: June.
We can consider Tolox, in the heart of the Biosphere Reserve of Sierra de las Nieves, to have one of the most fascinating landscapes in the South of Spain.
Among its numerous cliffs, its impressive gorges and its many defiles we highlight the Barranco de la Rejía, located in Sierra Parda. It is a spectacular enclave, with a vertical drop of more than fifty metres. Here we will be dazzled by the Chorrera de la Rejía, the tallest natural waterfall in the province of Málaga.
From Tolox we will follow the lane that starts in Fuente Amargosa and climbs up to the Puerto de las Golondrinas, to the Southwest. After covering 3.5 kilometres we will arrive at the beginning of the path that will take us to the waterfall. There will be sections of the path during which we will cross a thick pine forest and others that pass through more or less dense thickets.
