Blue Pool (Charco Azul), Jubrique (Unique Site)

Recommended month to visit it: July.

The Charco Azul [Blue Pool], a beautiful oasis in the heart of Sierra Bermeja, is nourished by the waters of the source of El Quejigo stream, tributary to the Almarchal river, which at the same time is tributary to the Genal river. This natural pool of crystal clear waters can be found amongst high defiles and is surrounded by dense pine woods in which ferns thrive.

The waters reach the pool falling down gorgeous cascades as they sort their way around the many large rocks of the river.

All this confers a unique appearance of extraordinary beauty.
